Tarbiyah Seminars 2022

Surah Al Alaq Ayah 1-5:

Read in the name of your Lord who created, created man from a clinging form. Read! Your Lord is the Most Generous, who taught by means of the pen; taught man what he did not know. (96:1-5)

So Learning is an ongoing activity for Muslims. In Islam, education is a divine command for both men and women. The Quran as well as the hadith leave no doubt that women, like men, are obligated to increase their knowledge and pursue it.

ICNA Sisters follow this command throughout the year individually and collectively but once a year they all come together on a weekend and learn, discuss, share best practices from the Quran and Sunnah to develop themselves.

In September 2022 various chapters came  together all over USA and discussed

‎فَفِرُّوۡۤا اِلَى اللّٰهِ ؕ اِنِّىۡ لَـكُمۡ مِّنۡهُ نَذِيۡرٌ مُّبِيۡنٌ ۚ‏

Flee, therefore, to Allah. Surely I am a clear warner to you from Him; (Surah Adorable Dhariyaat Ayah 50)

There were Five seminars held with an average of 150 attendees per seminar. The seminars were 2 days long and the participants discussed how to develop themselves to be confident Muslimahs,, have tools to implement Quran and Sunnah  in their lives, and share with others In Shaa Allah.

Funeral workshops 2022

Every soul will taste death. And you will only receive your full reward on the Day of Judgment. (Surah Al Imran Ayah 185)

The Quran makes it clear that no one shall live forever. This body of ours will one day die. However, it is our spirit that is eternal. Life in this world is transitory, while life after death is eternal where the final destination is either full of pleasure or punishment.

So are we prepared to meet our Lord to have the best destination possible and do we know how to get our loved ones prepared for the journey to the grave? Keeping this in mind ICNA Sisters had  sessions to learn the funerary ghusl and shrouding process and how to offer Salatul Janaza. This is an important aspect of our religion that we should know in order to fulfill the commands of Allah and follow the Sunnah of the Prophet SAW.

There were various sessions held at local sub chapter levels in Fall 2022 with an average attendance of 60.

May Allah help us apply and share this knowledge with all Ameen
