“We have sent among you a messenger from among you, reciting to you Our verses and purifying you, and teaching you the book and the Hikma and teaching you that which you do not know” (2:151).

The Tarbiyah Department provides ICNA Sister members with essential knowledge of the Quran, Sunnah, Fiqh, Arabic, Islamic history, the Islamic movement and similar subjects. The goal is to develop sisters who exemplify high moral character, sound knowledge of Islamic principles, and understand their responsibility to serve their communities and share the message of Allah. The department prepares the members to live Islam through word and action and motivate them to develop their spiritual and intellectual abilities. To do this, the department creates a study syllabus which it provides regularly to members and mechanisms are put in place to track and follow-up. The work is conducted in two languages English and Urdu. ICNA movement provides the resources for individual and collective Tarbiyah. For example, individual and collective resources are as follows:
