If We Stride

Darkness of night and season of fall

Couldn’t be fought with no determination at all.

Thank the Lord the Merciful, the Beneficent

To make your hearts so determinant.

Come together and pray together,

As did the companions and the leaders.

Diffuse the light, the fragrance of the spring,

Tranquility and peace the True Deen will bring.

Life is not forever. You will not be here.

The dawn of the Eternal Truth that you spread

And the light of your message will be everywhere.

Do not let the disbelief spread, I’m afraid.

To propitiate the Lord tolerate every difficulty.

It’s not, to your service, a penalty.

Paradise is but a reward from the Almighty,

It’s a reward for your struggle and for your piety.

Our history has been rich, it was called a Golden Age

Bring that glory back not with fury and rage.

Books and experiments should be your tools

To explore the world again, and be no fools.

Science, math, astronomy, philosophy and poetry

Were the subjects of advancement and progress

Our scientists, philosophers, poets and scholars

We’re free to explore the world without stress.

We are more than a billion people’s nation

Wake up from the negligence, social stress and tension

It’s our duty to advance in every direction.

Science and math, politics and poetry, faith and religion.

Do not forget our past, full of splendor and glorious

Stride to succeed, break every hurdle and be victorious.

Let the history repeat itself once again

Let the Ummah raise her flag shine or rain.
